VLCC To Invest Rs 30 Crore Beauty and wellness brand VLCC said it will invest over Rs 30 crore to spread awareness about harmful effects of obesity and related problems in India through a campaign. To mark the occasion of Anti Obesity, Company would provide DNA scan to individuals at its centres countrywide and also educate them on issues leading to the problem such as weight gain, exercise and food habits etc. Citing various global researches, the company said obesity in not only dependent upon diet and lifestyle of an individual, but also governed by information stored in DNA. VLCC Healthcare Director Sandeep Ahuja said “Observing Anti-Obesity day on November 26 of every year was the brainchild of VLCC 15 years back with a sole objective of generating awareness amongst the people about the harmful effects of obesity and related problems. Investment would be over Rs 30 crore on equipment and other services to be provided to people”.

Arun Kumar, Founder of Zucca said “With three outlets in the city and three more in the pipeline, the company has 17,000 unique pizza delivery customers, which will be increased to one lakh customers in the next one year. There were plans to open 100 outlets in the next two years as there was good demand for freshly baked hand-crafted pizzas, unlike those available in leading brands. More entrepreneurs were willing to open franchisees, with an investment of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh each. 15,000 Small Indian Farmers Reinforced By $2 Mn Grants From Walmart Walmart Foundation declares to donate $2 mn to non-profit consulting firm Agribusiness Systems International (ASI) to help small farmers in India diversify markets for their produce. The foundation said, the funding is aimed at implementation of Farmer Market Readiness Project in Andhra Pradesh providing financial support to ASI. "The goal is to improve the livelihoods of 15,000 farmers and their families and communities over the coming two years," it added. The project will provide farmers with knowledge, resources and services to enhance their market-readiness and expand their reach, it elaborated.
