VLCC Forays Into Men's Grooming Eyes Rs 100Cr Beauty and wellness firm VLCC said in a statement, it has entered into men's grooming segment with the launch of 'Ayush Men' and is eyeing Rs 100 cr revenue in three years from the category. The current range, which includes face wash, face scrub, shaving gel and moisturizer, is available in retail stores across India. VLCC Personal Care Chief Business Officer M V Natarajan said “We are looking to garner 20 per cent of product sales from the newly entered segment and revenue of Rs 100 crore in three years.  With men paying more attention to their appearance and skin than ever before, the market for men's grooming in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of over 17 per cent through 2020.” According to an Assocham report, the male grooming industry is expected to touch Rs 35,000 crore in next three years from current Rs 16,800 crore, due to rising aspiration among men to look better and rapid urbanisation. ...

Technology Education Services Provider NIIT Acquires Eagle International  Technology education services provider NIIT Ltd has acquired US-based Eagle International Institute, Inc. for $8.1 million (Rs 51.3 crore) in cash. The deal value includes both upfront and deferred payments to be made over five years, NIIT said in a stock-exchange disclosure. NIIT bought Eagle International, which operates under the name Eagle Productivity Solutions, through wholly owned unit NIIT USA Inc. The acquisition will strengthen NIIT’s customer base in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries and expand its training capability for global rollouts of cloud-based enterprise applications. Sheroes Acquires Child Healthcare Startup Babygogo Sheroes, the women’s-focused career platform, has acquired Delhi-based child healthcare startup Babygogo. The nature and value of the acquisition were not disclosed by the companies. The founders of Babygogo will join Sheroes as co-founders. This is the second acquisition in less than five months by Delhi-based Sheroes. In August this year, Sheroes had acquired Bangalore-based online career restart platform Women Restart for an undisclosed amount. Operated by AddoDoc Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Babygogo was founded in 2014 by Siddhartha Ahluwalia, Sowrabh N R S and Satyadeep Karnati. The firm started as a technology platform to hand-hold parents, particularly mothers, by offering baby care advice. Sri Sri Tattva To Open 1000 Stores By The End Of 2018 Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's consumer goods and wellness brand Sri Sri Tattva plans to expand its retail footprint with 1,000 retail stores by end 2018, and is targeting Rs 500 crore revenue. The proposed stores will be opened on a franchisee model in association with Franchise India. Arvind Varchaswi, managing director Sri Sri Tattva said “We've tied up with Franchise India, and will launch 1,000 odd stores in the next one year and have set a target of clocking Rs 500cr revenue from this.
