The World Bank’s latest ‘Ease of Doing Business 2017’ report says India ranks 130th in a list of 190 countries, having risen just one spot from last year’s 131st position.
The parameters that the World Bank report takes into account to judge ease of doing business or starting a business include dealing with construction permits, getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, protecting minority investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and resolving Insolvency.
Of these, India scored well on some of the parameters but failed on a few others. So which are the countries where it is easiest to do business? Let’s find out:

1.       Economy: New Zealand Rank: 1 Best score at – Trading across Borders: 55

2.       Economy: Singapore Rank: 2 Best score at – Trading across Borders: 41

3.       Economy: Denmark Rank: 3 Best score at – Getting credit: 32

4.       Economy: Hong Kong Rank: 4 Best score at – Registering property: 61

5.       Economy: Korea Rank: 5 Best score at – Getting credit: 44

6.       Economy: Norway Rank: 6 Best score at – Getting credit: 75
