DIPP To Train Startups Across India Through Free E-Learning Programme
In an attempt to connect the major startup ecosystems across the country, the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) has reportedly decided to launch a free online learning programme for budding entrepreneurs to connect, develop, and learn.
The department has already received 110K entries.
Aastha Grover, advisor (startup), DIPP said, "We want new ideas to germinate from the state level. And, for that, we have come up with this free online learning programme. It is now available in English and Hindi.
But, we are so keen on inviting new ideas, we will launch it in all major Indian languages soon. The soft launch of the ecosystem portal has already been made to get views from all the stakeholders. The hard launch will be done shortly."
The programme aims to connect all the prominent stakeholders of the startup ecosystem including collaborators, innovators, and funding agencies under the same platform.
She said, "We want everyone to know the proper channels – both administrative as well as business ones – to take (their) business ideas forward."
As per the Minister, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi are the three startup hubs of the country, with more than 65% of startups emerging from these spaces. Areas like Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Kochi are other three emerging hubs in the country, she added.
With this programme, the government further aims to connect startups with each other in the remotest parts of the country, as well, by creating a collaborative platform.

German Cosmetic Brand, BeYu Plans To Launch 300 Stores German premium cosmetic brand, BeYu from the ARTDECO group, aims to launch 300 stores by end of FY 2017-18. Out of these 300 stores, BeYu will launch 20 company owned and 280 shop-in-shop stores, BeYu India spokesperson said. In March 2017, Be Yu entered Delhi in a partnership with Kaunis Marketing Services. The brand which has presence in 40 countries globally is looking to have its stores in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata among other. Wai Wai City Plans To Open 1500 Outlets In Next Five Years Following in the footsteps of its flagship outlet at Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi, Wai Wai City, a ready to eat at noodle bar from popular noodle brand, Wai Wai, has now marked its presence at Logix City Centre, Noida.
