EQT sells Bureau van Dijk to Moody’s for €3bn

EQT Partners has sold Bureau van Dijk, a provider of business intelligence and company information, to Moody’s Corporation for €3bn.

The firm acquired Bureau van Dijk in 2014 for €1.6bn, and has since invested in the sales organisation, new products and marketing and branding.

Covering more than 220 million companies in its dataset, Amsterdam-based Bureau van Dijk generated revenues of €258m and Ebitda of €132m in 2016.

Moody’s Corporation is the parent company of Moody’s Analytics, a software, advisory services and research provider for credit and economic analysis and financial risk management.



It is also parent of Moody’s Investors Service, which provides credit ratings and research covering debt instruments and securities.
