Kolkata-based Affordable Health Services
Pvt. Ltd, which runs online healthcare services aggregator EasyBuyHealth, has
secured $350,000 (Rs 2.2 crore) in a seed round from a group of angel investors
from the business and medical communities.
The capital will be used to expand its
team to 100 members, from the existing 50, over the next six months, besides
strengthening its technology infrastructure.
Founded by Gagan Kapur in 2016,
EasyBuyHealth helps customers discover an array of healthcare services
providers, including hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres, among others,
on its platform.
The startup also offers an assortment of
healthcare services such as health service packages and preventive healthcare
services comprising annual health check-ups and pre-employment medical tests,
hospitalisation for elective and recurring surgeries, chronic care for
long-term conditions such as diabetes and physiotherapy, besides wellness,
lifestyle and dental care services.
In September, home healthcare
aggregator HealWell24 had also raised angel funding from three high-net-worth
individuals, while Oxa Medical, which provides curated medical tourism
packages, had secured an undisclosed amount in seed funding from UAE-based
Idein Ventures Pvt Ltd in March.
