Dubai-Based Doner & Gyros To Set Up 200 Outlets Across India
Doner & Gyros, a Dubai-based quick service restaurant chain has announced to open about 200 stores in the country making a surprising entry into the Indian Market in the next 5-7 years.
The company has earmarked an investment of Rs 200 crore in India which will start with the opening of its first store by August this year. Doner & Gyros has already market share in 21 countries including London, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
Doner & Gyros CEO Nabi Naseeb said, "One store will cost somewhere around Rs 1.5 crore and we plan to open 150 to 200 stores in the next 5-7 years that makes it around Rs 200 crore."
Naseeb said, "Our products will be customised as per Indian market," adding that the company will take advantage to capitalise on products from Berlin and Chicago in Indian market.
The QSR has contracted with FranGlobal, the overseas arm of franchise solutions company Franchise India Holdings Ltd for expansion in India.

German Cosmetic Brand, BeYu Plans To Launch 300 Stores German premium cosmetic brand, BeYu from the ARTDECO group, aims to launch 300 stores by end of FY 2017-18. Out of these 300 stores, BeYu will launch 20 company owned and 280 shop-in-shop stores, BeYu India spokesperson said. In March 2017, Be Yu entered Delhi in a partnership with Kaunis Marketing Services. The brand which has presence in 40 countries globally is looking to have its stores in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata among other. Flipkart, Walmart To Complete $7-Bn Deal, Valuation To Reach $20 Bn In a move to put other E-commerce players in competition US retailer Walmart Inc. is in talks to spend about $7bn to become top investor in India’s leading e-commerce company, a move that would put the US retailer in competition with Amazon.com Inc. in one of the most promising online retail markets.
